Bulgarian Sofia MENAR to screen Iranian ‘Colchicum’

The 11th edition of the Sofia MENAR Film Festival in Bulgaria has set to screen Iranian movie ‘Colchicum’.

Directed by Mohammad-Reza Rasouli, the film tells the story of two couples and old classmates who meet after a long time in a mysterious home. All of them have some secrets from the past and try to keep them hidden.

Notable among the cast are Milad Keymaram, Behdokht Valian, Mahdokht Molaee, and Amir-Bahador Oraei.

The Sofia MENAR Film Festival makes Bulgarian audiences familiar with the culture and traditions of the Islamic world, the website of the festival wrote.

The program of Sofia MENAR Film Festival presents the best of Middle East and North Africa cinema productions, including feature films, documentaries and short projects.

The 2019 edition of the Sofia MENAR is slated for January 15-31 in the Bulgarian capital city.
